Knock knock
Who’s there?
Your Muslim neighbour.
My Muslim neighbour who?
Well, exactly !
Have you ever wondered what your Muslim neighbours are like?
Is the dad wearing a false beard to keep his true identity hidden?
Does the mum have platinum blonde hair under her headscarf?
Do they keep camels in their back garden?
Does the husband have a harem of wives?
Why do they wear strange, exotic-looking clothes?
Why do they always smell of otherworldly spices?
We can’t promise answers to all of these questions(!), but this is your chance to see that we are not that different from you: we’re just normal hard-working people and we face all of the same day to day challenges as everybody else in this wonderful country of ours.
T with Me (running from Monday 10th March until Friday 21st March) is a part of Islamic Awareness Week 2014 and our aim is to invite people from all religions (and none!) into our homes for some of our world famous hospitality.
Come and relax, chat, have some tea and snacks and feel free to ask as many questions as you like so that we can start dispelling some of the myths about Islam and Muslims. Plus you’ll get to know your neighbours better.
To find your nearest 'T stop', please register as a GUEST or as a Muslim HOST,
